What this is: BBWChan's original home-grown IRC-based archive-and-retrieval automaton. Think volafile, but users can't upload squat. They can simply request anything from the database be uploaded or re-uploaded on command. The database is 2.5TB of content collected from uploads made here on the site, organized, and, anything over a certain size/length is handbraked to h264, to save space. I will not post the file list here now that we are running the full database and not the files-to-be-purged, so, if you are interested, take a look yourself. (The video still shows the prior purge database, do not expect to see the same files demonstrated anymore.)
How to use it: See the attached video.
Remember these tips:
it doesn't matter what your username is, and you don't need to use a password or register with rizon (unless you want to)!
you don't have to use the rizon.net web client (feel free to use any IRC client you prefer, like HexChat on desktop)!
don't type commands in the main channel (use the direct message tab from the FODArray bot itself that will appear above the main channel when you join)!
if you want to preview a specific file, use previewXXXX, but if you want the previews for everything in a specific folder, request an upload of the 00previews.zip file that is contained within each subfolder!
you get 5GB of requests per day. Please don't try to circumvent this, just come back tomorrow if you need more!
using a web chat interface from a phone is terrible (timeouts when looking at the file list in a new "tab", etc): download a real IRC app like CoreIRC for a better experience!
On desktop, install a plugin like Imagus to enable view-on-hover for previews, as shown in the video!
litterbox renames files
It's annoying, but hey, it's free, and, it has the added upside of somewhat making it difficult for a model to report to litterbox, as it just looks like nonsense, and it's being deleted in 72 hours anyway. So, you take the good with the bad. The original filename is given with the download link, so the intention is, copy the filename, right-click 'save as' on the file link, paste the original filename over the litterbox random filename as you are saving it. It's a bit janky, but, hey, you wouldn't be using this at all if you were afraid of a little jank.
