After messing around with characterai for whatever fun the filter would allow me, I decided to look for an alternative. I quickly found one, and after a week or so of experimenting, I finally have a story to share! Still have a few spots I'd like to manually edit (did rewrite a few spots that needed it most) but a good majority of it came out very well on its own! However, there's an issue that'll pop up sometimes, where a new chapter will just repeat what was in the previous one - sometimes several times over, with no way to stop it until it's done.
The search function for published stories also isn't great, so I'm hoping to see plenty of stories shared here - especially ones like this with plenty of rapid gains!
