Hey there nice folks,
I just came across those old video tapes in my atic,
but they were empty, so I must`ve lost them.
I think both tapes are bout 20 years old.
I searched the internet, but I seem to find nothing.
Maybe anyone can help me out on that, or knows where to find these tapes :-)
It would be awsome, I`m blessed with any help of that, cause I remember I loved those videos:-)
Thankx a million times in advance!!!!!!!!
bye bye
My god how far we've come.

I'm just old enough to remember the existence of this type of porn when it was being made, though I was way too young to be looking at it.

It was awful. Reprehensibly bad. Profoundly ugly, graceless women, lit and filmed terribly, performing grotesque acts.

But as far as fat porn went, it was all we had. It was all there is.

Thank your lucky stars, boys, that you lived to see the golden age we're currently living in, with objectively hot smokeshow models in every weight range from chubby to immobile-adjacent.

All true, sadly. I lived in New York City in the1980s and I would periodically scout porn shops in Times Square looking for fat lady mags or VHS videos. Very, very little to choose from. Usually the best available would be a dusty tape with several big-boob models and maybe one unattractive BBW perhaps 275 pounds.
There were occasional exceptions. Bad Mama Jama's videos were not bad and she was quite fat, maybe 375? She was my favorite but her total output was only 3 tapes. Layla Lashelle was sorta hot at her peak weight of perhaps 400, but her videos were tasteless and demeaning.
BBW magazines were even sparser. I remember one mag had a model named Mitzi who resembled Austrian Cindy (who came along later). Mitzi was older and not very attractive but she was a true SSBBW. There was also one issue of a mag called Fat Mama. It was my favorite, with a cute Latina called Little Eva on the cover. And I still remember my excitement when Fat Extrem hit the shelves with the first appearance of Teighlor.
BUF magazine typifies the tastelessness of fat porn from the 1980s. Ugh, not good memories. But I had a subscription and even visited BUF's main office in Manhattan one time to buy back issues in person. Beggars could not be choosers.
Things started to improve with Dimensions magazine and Wide Angle videos in the 1990's. Several well known models started in Dimensions, including Betsy (the first well known feeder), Brie Brown, Heather, and (if I recall correctly) Mandy (from Mandy's Playhouse).
And then came the Internet.
Looking back, there is not much to like in fat porn from the mid-1980s. SSBBW models are way more attractive now. To an old-timer like me, this is truly a golden age for fat porn.
I used to buy the BUF mags late 90s early 2000s just before the internet hit fully
I was in awe at the models in the mag they seemed huge but looking back some of them weren’t even near 350lbs
Teighlour was the biggest I had ever seen back then and you would often see her pic being used on random postcards / magazines etc , her image was used to many times on fake stories if it was today she would be worth and owed millions in royalties

Other then BUG magazine I could only get to see big woman on programmes such as Jerry springer , Ricki lake and sally
>>29680 Oof I felt every word of this. Sounds like you may be a decade or two older than me but I remember BUF and every one of the models and videos you reference.

I think you may even be too generous in your characterization. This was bad porn. The model choice, costuming, staging, etc. all internalized the social shame of liking fat women. It couldn't just be a conventionally pretty obese girl - it had to be some misshapen hag with high camp kabuki makeup spray painted on, making a sneering come-hither grimace. The assumption being: liking fat girls is *interchangable* with having a fetish for ugly or older women. It assumed the appeal of liking fat was bundled in with a desire to subvert all rules of attractiveness. And BUF, Rockshots, and all the porn you reference was designed to put just enough comic spin on the ball that the viewer could retain plausible deniability of their attraction and claim they were just into it as a joke.

As you said, Dims changed everything, Betsy was the Feedee pioneer, and Brie and Kelligrl represented a seismic shift toward actually pretty fat models.

But looking at the timeline as you lay out, it's probably impossible to overstate the importance of Heather Boyle. Things didn't *have* to evolve the way they did. There are plenty of other fetishes that are still balkanized and atomized and haven't built the kind of architecture that we enjoy today with fat porn. BigCuties systematized professional fat modeling and created a scouting pipeline and supply chain for new fat models to be brought into the scene. It's all clearly mushroomed from there and is now about much more than BigCuties, but without Heather and what she built. I don't think we'd be looking at anything approaching the landscape we have now.

nah, this stuff is fascinating

>”BBW porn used to be bad, but now it’s good”

Yeah fascinating bro
>>29770 you're better off just emailing dimensions and asking nicely if they have copies (Hey they work for FA company theyre fans of blubber like us maybe someone will help). No one on here is going to have digital versions of awful 30 year porn when you can get new 4k footage easily

Very interesting perspective. Thanks for weighing in!
It was obvious to me that the 1980's fat porn was (with some possible exceptions) produced by non-FAs. Your theory that the producers assumed FAs were looking for ugly women is something I never thought of. Sounds right to me.
Another example: Mollie, a German BBW perhaps 300 but very flabby, appeared in some videos that appear on Spankbang and similar sites from time to time. Old and ugly (with apologies for being so blunt). Atrocious makeup. Downright depressing to watch now.
And I agree about Heather. If there is ever a Hall of Fame for SSBBW Admirers, she deserves to be one of the inaugural inductees, along with Bill Fabrey (founder of NAAFA, inventor of the term "Fat Admirer") and Conrad Blickenstorfer (founder of Dimensions and I think he produced the Wide Angle videos).
I'm not sure if Bill and Conrad are still around. If you guys happen to see this thread, we would love to hear from you!
Retro pornography is very interesting and I don’t know what that idiot anon is going on about. I definitely want to see and hear about the origins of our fetish community, and there is something about that old poorly lit crackly vhs aesthetic that is so charming

Another oldfag here from NYC reminiscing... I was a teen in the 80s, 15 when I got the nerve to hit the porn shops in Times Square for fatobilia. The newsstand near my house sold Gent and Juggs, both of which sometimes had fat models, but I didn't want to buy close to home for obvious reasons. The Deuce then was super-sleazy and dangerous. But I was a man with a mission, lol.

I remember one disappointment after another, as others here describe. As I recall the magazines were in plastic so you had to buy sight-unseen. You can imagine what they got away with... And the tapes were worse, because they were expensive on an after school job salary. They all kind of blur together, but it felt like every video would be centered around a 20 minute blowjob scene. Because nothing an FA loves more than to look at a dick and a pair of lips in closeup.

And as others pointed out, not until Dimensions did anyone put out stuff that felt like an FA had been near it, and that was softcore. In the meantime some douche named "Loretta Sterling" (a dude, not sure why the name) put out a few tapes that starred his own middle aged, paunchy body and tried to be comedic. On that note, Ron Jeremy did some fat porn with Teighlor and others -- how I was introduced to the legend.

I thought Layla LaChelle was attractive, maybe the only 80s SSBBW porn star you could say that about. Also Suzie Sparks, better known as a big boob model, but she was a legit BBW as well. Her debut on the front cover of Juggs was an event in my life lol.

Just before the internet made all this obsolete, I started ordering from Bountiful Productions, who advertised in the print version of Dimensions. Not having to buy retail was a definite plus. They put out their own Dimensions-style softcore stuff, specializing in MILFS -- Nancy Goddess, Jeena Ferrari, etc, but they also had a huge collection of VHS hardcore from all over the place and a catalog with descriptions.

I forgot why but I wound up chatting with the owner on the phone -- I think she called about a fucked up order. Super-nice person and she contacted me again because she wanted me to watch tapes and write descriptions for her catalogs! Job of a lifetime... unpaid but all the porn I could handle -- probably more. But by then I was living with someone so I couldn't take her up on it, boo.

>All models 18 or older.

As if that ever was in doubt. Knowing how thin dutchies are, at least back then it was probably hard finding a younger, more beautiful chick.
im always up to check out some retro stuff because not enough models have a full bush these days. kyra kane, and mal/val but theyre not ssbbws. plumpprincess had one for awhile but its not like she showed it off on purpose anyway
what's a VHS?
idk i could ever find this hot but it is definitely fascinating

I guess you are very young. Anyway, at one time, VHS was the format that video was delivered on. It was a chunk of plastic that was as big as a brick, and had magnetic tape inside. That magnetic tape had analog video and audio on it.
>>33348
Inferior format to Betamax that nonetheless won the format wars. Plenty of analogies before and since.
>>33658

Inferior only in video quality.

Superior in price, availability and range of titles, service/replacement parts, length of videos (first available VHS cassettes had a 2 hour run time vs Beta’s 1 hour, which isn’t even enough for most movies. Beta eventually competed, but still). All that considered, the slight difference in quality (which was negligible on most televisions at the time by the way) wasn’t worth it for most consumers, and it’s not at all surprising VHS won.

And besides, LaserDisc had better picture quality than both combined and nobody went for that either.
