Got a bad pic? Just don't post it! Too much stubble? Shave and take another pic! The beauty filter alone takes care of a lot of it and that's only a button press away.
We can tell in a heartbeat IRL, between the body language, the smell, and the off proportions.
Trans people really only pass if they're spending 24/7 on practice, makeup, expensive surgeries, and coaching, and even that can only go so far.
The only reason trans people don't get called out too often IRL is because we know, correctly, that they'll flip out and yell a lot the second we do.
I've misgendered trans people IRL as kind of a social experiment on some of my trips to Seattle, and at least half go right into death threats, the rest just shout a lot and/or threaten violence like men. Ironically, when trans people get mad, they tend to forget to continue their act, often dropping their voice by an octave, or make masculine facial expressions.

It's happening a lot in US politics right now, obviously, but it's also including standards of beauty, like people fussing over peach fuzz on girls in vidya.
I do find it really funny that trans people becoming more of a thing has suddenly made people's standards of beauty go way up though. Now it's like, even IRL, there's a higher priority on more feminine features on women than there used to be, and anything less than a 10/10 is "gay" on dating sites.
