I know this is simplistic, but it seems to me there are two different kinds of models: those who just imitate and replicate what others do, and those who are true leaders. I'm talking about the entrepreneurs, the intellectuals, the organizers--people who innovate with content, people who build community, people who write articles and books or make podcasts about fat stuff--not just modeling, but fat kink in general, and body positivity and fat liberation stuff in general. I'm always fascinated by this latter group of leaders. They keep doing new things and and moving in new directions.

And maybe "leader" is the wrong word, but I was trying to capture how they're thoughtful and creative about fat stuff and sometimes pushing it in new directions. So I don't meant leaders like "bosses," but more like "thought leaders" (a term I hate, but it gets the idea across). You'll see the other terms I threw out there, too: intellectualls, organizers, entrepreneurs. None of them are quite right, but hopefully you can see what I was getting at.
