Summary: Hank green tells us that in the wild, Pandas are quite fat despite having a diet of bamboo. This is at least in part due to the presence of the micro bacteria Clostridium butyricum present which produces butyriate, which changes and increases fat storage and metabolism.
Turns out in Japan and other parts of Asia, you can buy clostridium butyricum as a probiotic.

I'm no microbiologist or panda biologist, but any thoughts on this?Could introducing more of this bacteria into peoples gut microbiome change human metabolism and fat storage in a safe manner?

And it shows.
okay guess im a cringe retard but why wouldn't changing the gut microbiome with an introduction of this species of microbe change the metabolism of humans. This seems unethical, possibly unsafe, I don't think anyone should do this, but wouldn't the mechanism of fat metabolism between pandas and humans be somewhat similar, I mean we're both mammals. Is the diet of pure bamboo the key differentiating factor. Are probiotics purchased ineffective or not analogous to ones found in natural microbiomes? Anyone with an understanding of this want to enlighten?

Clostridium butyricum causes botulism in humans. You'll drop dead before gaining a single pound.

Also that eBay link that you posted is a colon cleanser. You're not going to gain weight with that stuff.
well that makes sense. Tard moment.
I like memes with him but this one isn't great.
