Greetings! I'm a new writer looking for ideas for a Sci-Fi wg story I'm currently writing. It's about a space station in which the AI goes rogue after a virus is uploaded and starts to secretly fatten up the station's residents.
The setting is relatively vague but in the style of Traveller / Rimworld / Space Station 13 in case you're wondering.
I already have a bunch of ideas divided into multiple categories (See attached image) but more could never hurt.

Try to keep it grounded and with a lighter tone but feel free to post whatever, even if I can't use them someone else might be inspired by your idea.
I've been meaning to post a sci-fi thread for a while now, but I never got around to it. I guess this will suffice.

For inspiration, you can use the "Human male" storyline from Writing.com's "Sci-fi weight gain" story. It's very well-written, and has some of the elements your looking for, such as being relatively down to Earth and a space station location. (Don't worry, there's no Male WG here)

If you have Kindle, you can get "Fattening the Flert Captain", which is about a ship's AI that does exactly that. While not as well-written, it can provide some ideas.

You can also try this story, about a smart house that fattens its owner, for ideas on how the AI would interact with its inhabitants.

Imo, the greatest SF WG story ever. Starts with unimaginable depictions of gluttony, turns into incredibly realistic detail of someone literally becoming planet sized and loads of interesting discussion of AI. It's way more than just a horny story and I'm dying for the conclusion https://www.deviantart.com/hungryink/art/Fulfillment-1-728789252
Anyone else want a doctor who wg?
This is a fun story that was written almost a decade ago:

I'd love to see more stories in this vein, set in a futuristic capitalist dystopia where lots of people are fat and helpless and coddled by advanced technology. Football said he had ideas for a sequel, where Jennifer's toilet needs are addressed, but he never wrote it. It's a shame. But it increases my desire to see more stories LIKE this story.

One idea I had was based off of the old Startopia game. In that, you had to build a space station that could house multiple species and keep them content. One species was a bunch of plutocrat slugs that were absolutely horrible to deal with, but their poop was actually a mineral worth far more than anything else (besides the sanity you lost dealing with the slimy slobs). Then you also had the sirens, who were basically angel-themed whores.

So, why not have a peculiar mix of both? Beautiful people that live like aphids, latching onto a biocomputer and acting as part of its processes, suckling and fattening. They could double as whores, too, if you wanted. They wouldn't produce normal human waste, of course - they could literally shit bricks of unobtanium, most likely with disastrous consequences for anyone standing behind them. The real problem would be trying to deal with their growing sexual appetite - having a bunch of behemoth women in microgravity thrusting their hips and demanding pleasure could be disastrous for the infrastructure...
Il mention something from the other thread, you can teraform it to your needs:
“a very far future with tech high enough that fairly rapid weight gain and very rapid weight loss are daily factors. Horribly calorie heavy foods are mass produced by replicators and feederism, hedonism and emotional eating are encouraged, it's easy to eat 10 k calories a day without effort. The young are kept on ai restricted diets but the moment they're off them, it's typical to put on two or three pounds a day. Most people are borderline immobile blobs ... Most of the time.

Going out of your luxury apartment without looking super model perfect is seen as the ultimate taboo. Most people don't need that because luxury space communism means what little work there is to do is done from home. Holographic interfaces represent a person's ideal self, so everyone recognizes each other as thin. But everyone needs to go outside for something or another every once and a while. Future tech, bordering on magic can lipo and tuck the typical quarter tonner down to size with a few hours of surgery but that's... Annoying.

Everyone's apartment is set up for the super obese, resizing everything when you're just going to get fat again by the end of the year is boring.

So most people use temporary, hand wave nano tech bullshit to become thin for four or five hours. Just enough to handle real in person meetings.

The short would be a domineering low level exec who's got a date with a big client only for a software glitch to reveal her real size in public...”
Generations ago we started moving people to the Moon after crucial minerals were found there in vast quantities. Miners now live in sprawling colonies with their families and 1,000s of support staff. Thanks to generous pay and powerful unions (hey, it's science fiction lol) these have evolved into highly prosperous city-states. Meanwhile 100+ years of war and environmental degradation has made life extremely hard back on Earth, and living on the Moon is the dream for billions.

While most of Earthbound humanity struggles to survive, extreme fatness has become a mark of status among wives, daughters, and other Moon women. It means they can afford endless food, don't have to work and can pay to have others perform even the most basic tasks — bathing, dressing, etc. This was enabled by advances in medical science as well as extremely low gravity that allows women to be healthy and mobile at well over 1,000 lbs.

So while their distant ancestors of the late 20th/early 21st century were desperate to be slim, now the competition is to see how fat they can get. There are even illicit drugs that lower metabolism and enable weight gain. All this has led to a highly decadent and hedonistic mini-society of elite superfats that's both envied and scorned by people on Earth, and a small cult of ascetic Moon people who resent them as well for religious reasons.

One day an outlaw mining company, greedy for an advantage over their competition, starts excavating in an off-limits area. They accidentally expose a vast underground cache of a previously unknown element, which sets off a chain reaction that will blow up the entire Moon within weeks. The mining colonies must be evacuated immediately, which means everyone is headed back to Earth.

Now a huge population who've known only Moon living will have to acclimate to Earth's gravity — 6X that of the Moon. This is obviously a special concern for the hundreds of immensely fat female elites, many of whom are so obese and out of shape they won't survive at all. The only hope for them are a precious few spots on orbiting space stations, but these aren't set up for long-term living; it will only buy them time to lose weight and develop their underused muscles so they can hopefully make the transition to terrestrial existence.

This sets up a desperate last-minute competition among elite Moon women, where they must convince the ministry in charge that they're good candidates, proving they have the discipline to diet and exercise — something they've never had to do. There's also a small group of economic super-elites who are trying to usurp a space station for permanent living, so they can continue their lifestyle indefinitely. In the meantime the ascetics are resentful that the fatties are being given any deference, and are actively trying to scuttle the re-integration program and force them to meet their deserved fate.
Had an idea the while not hugely Sci-fi but still futuristic:

A company has released a new travel app that AI assisted.

The app is marketed as being extremely helpful as it can quickly provide all types of travel options for users to get them from point A to B based on their preferences for cost, time, and speed.

And users of the app agree it is quite useful. Those users also notice that the app also marks out vending machines for food and drink from the same company that are along those routes. Even more the app offers discounts, inventory status of the machines, and updates about new products coming to machines. Along with remembering but not really paying attention to the cute and quick little proximity alert when approaching a machine or the eye catching purchase animations that play on the machine as the product comes out.

A recent update to the app has even let users know how much they have spent and saved on various costs for traveling along with the same for food and drinks. Because buying coffee every morning on the way to work does add up but less so as the app points out when it costs just $1, the cup is slightly larger then the store bought ones, and machine serves faster then a person. Or that for $1 more you can get a filling breakfast sandwich from the machine right next to the drink one. With other mealtime options available too, and all for similarly low prices along with being just as tasty and filling. Making it easy to treat yourself after work to a sweet snack such as a fruit pie or brownie.

The early morning line ups at the pairs of machines have been observed to be large but move at a steady pace. Just like the customers as they leave sipping their drink and eating their choice of breakfast they do so with a spring in their step. Some have noted that often causes some jiggling about the waist, rear, and thighs.

Business-wise the profit reports are growing and investment is booming as the app continues to be developed and more vending machines are being installed. Some news that is causing a stir is that company is testing whether drones can be used to automate the refilling of the vending machines to save money and ensure customers are never with without their preferred food and drinks. The idea of purchasing small locations to provide seating for customers along with more space of wall mounted vending machines. Or even working with, or perhaps buying out, an e-bike or scooter, seated ones that is, company to provide their customers with a more environmentally friendly travel option during the warmer months.

Concerns about the high calorie and fat content of the food and drinks along with reducing what little exercise most people get has been ignored, redirected, and pointed out that the app can be used to plan routes to jog or walk as well as where the nearest gym is. Though the word fat is rarely used by the company except when they have and instead words such as gains, thickness or softness, plush or fluff are used. And little beyond praise for the female investigative reporter turned body positive influencer who streams while consuming her favorite seasonal and promoting new upcoming ones is spoken.

Excited about where this could go. Especially as this company gets more and more of a grip on the world and their waistlines.
There's one story that used to be on deviantart I forget the name but it involves a young lady doing a jail sentence on a luxury space ship. It was multi chapter and included the term the large barge.

By investigating space travel they manage to open portals.
A society of giants are their technologies that detect us, decide to invade our society.
They manage to practically annihilate us, plus they find us super appetizing.
however between experiments and long distance space travel. Ships loaded with space explorer capsules go missing
No one believed in his return when the portal failed. but the computers detected in a moment the route to take and after centuries they managed to bring the passengers back.
The earth is no longer the same nor is the society of conquering giants.
a plump young girl (similar to a mix of Plump Princess or Beccabae before she was ssbbw. Also tall, the equivalent of someone 1.90m and about 130kg in our world)
They have a taste for small human things. The society of giants learned to use resources such as plants and animals, taking care of them even better than we do. However, they consume them raw and whole, such as pigs or cows or packages of vegetables. since they do not know how humans used them. But in their society their food arrives packaged, they rarely see it alive because they are computerized factories that produce and process it.

(What was lost told how they became friends and the protagonist enjoys feeding her. but she actually enjoyed the novelty and human flavor imbued in her food. how they were beginning to get to know each other and how she played with him. and he, like him, confused a friendship with what it was like for her to have a unique property and see a live animal, a secret. a valuable object that looked like a cute servant or slave and toy. and the protagonist believing that she was making friends with him. without knowing everything behind. Believing that she is a huge giantess among the giants themselves and almost all the time eager to eat human things, they understood each other. but at the same time he couldn't keep up with feeding her and over time she asked for more and more. Since she did not know fatigue and despite having the rations that society gave her through computers. and the protagonist believing that one day she would return to his world or that at least he was free and loved. but also feeling some satisfaction from feeding someone huge and insatiable.)

She apparently was responsible for monitoring a few posts and data and repairing or maintaining something similar to energy systems, and production of food that worked almost automatically. That's why I did not have much need to leave. But he liked to snore in the human world, who had not been much improved in human world. And I liked to find human ancient things. He also liked to sleep and eat. I was not going to reveal the secret of his mascot toy. Equal and it was a type of android who survived extermination. The human thought he could return and be a day back to his world.
