Yusuke is pretty neat, but I think that the genuine best Shonen Jump protags are the best ones.

Taikoubou, Luckyman, Kankichi Ryotsu, Kinnikuman, Makibao, Taison Maeda, Gin, Kenichi Kokuho, Taruruuto, Neuro, Jaguar Junichi, heck even the guy from Mr. Fullswing was cool as fuck. While they aren't as influencial as say, Naruto, Luffy, Goku or Ichigo, I think that they still hold up as important characters of WSJ, specially Ryotsu, Taison and Kinnikuman. (i also like thrm a lot so lmao)

Kinda sad that out of all of those, only Fullswing, Kinnikuman and Houshin Engi got proper releases. 2023 and there not being translations of
any piece of Makibao and Luckyman media is such a fucking crime. Saiko Fansub dude are gonna sub the Luckyman anime so I'm happy.

Atleast Rokudenashi and Jaguar are getting there. Still pissed at how Jaguar only gets one chapter every 6 months despite them being like 8 or 9 pages long.

Ultimate Muscle DID get released by 4Kids (and we got the entire manga by VIZ for some otherwordly reason), but the original series nor the currently ongoing 2011 manga haven't gotten any official releases. Surprised that all of Kinnikuman is scanlated honestly, it's a damn blast to read too and it's probably one of the few WSJ series I can't bring myself to hate.
