For the next few posts on this thread, I'm going to be posting sumo artwork by Artist SRF, who has greatly influenced my taste in BBW sumo art for better or for worse

What really got me loving Artist SRF was how they did Gwen from "Ben 10" as a sumo. Instead of drawing her in her of series appearance, she's drawn in her AF/UA teenager & in one occasion her adult appearance from "Ben 10,000". Which gives her a very mature look for a sumo woman, something I adore a lot!

Well, that's it, because Artist SRF seemed to have stopped making their goated sumo artwork, thankfully we still have Darkfireballz! I hope you found a favorite piece!

Hey, did you guys know that there is actually a sumo girl manga called "Rikijo"? It's by Utamaro and is about a girl named Marumi who wanted to be in her school's archery club but quits due to her growing body and ends up joining the sumo club or else she gets expelled. I think for why we have no bbw sumo manga/anime series is how Sumo wrestling is a huge part of Japanese tradition, most of them probably wouldn't want something that could show defiance of said tradition. The reason why no official female wrestlers is due to tradition (they're impure due to menstruating and can't enter the ring due to this). Then again there are manga/anime series that have revealing kimonos, sexy female samurai, sexy female ninjas, and sexy miko. I think too it's the image of sumo wrestlers as being tough and manly and having women practice it would be a defiance of that. The lifestyles and actions of the wrestlers is heavily rooted in tradition and they likely wouldn't wish to defy said tradition. (They live and train in buildings called stables and matches use a lot of religious rituals).

I know there are some creators who are into BBWs, unless they feel like defying tradition and pandering to their kinks, we may not get a BBW Sumo series. Then again, we may get lucky. Maybe one day we get a creator who's into BBWs and decides to write a story about a bunch of BBWs who decide to practice sumo wrestling.
