No idea how current that still is or what the use of double encoding ever was, because if you can decode it once you can do it twice.
Then again it shouldn't be too difficult to teach a bot to plug everything in a decoder anyways.
I really liked the format with something added to the encoded link like: aHR0cHM6Ly9tZW[tabby is a fatty]dhLm56L2ZvbGRlci9WSmh4QVJBQg==
And then you could just delete that part but parsing this as a bot might be way more difficult.
