It is starting to change, though the question is if current fat love interests are what's called Hollywood fat, many of us know this. They call a woman who's normal weight/a little overweight is treated as though she's obese. The level of fat jokes are that she's treated as though she weighs 300 or more pounds.

I imagine with older shows/movies since obesity wasn't that common, a woman who was 20/30 pounds overweight was seen as obese. Or she's called that if she was wearing thicker clothes. Or it could be a woman who's curvier. She has big boobs and hips but her midsection isn't super thick. Maybe it's a little thicker than usual but she doesn't have a belly.

The stuff I mentioned is dude faced with unpleasant fat women and finding his happy ending with a thin woman. So it isn't what Shallow Hal is about.

I was hoping to see more stuff that bucks this. Stuff where a fat woman is presented as pleasant natured and sexy. Where scenes of her near nude/full nude is treated as sexy.

Just these movies show that fat women are ugly and mean and how unpleasant sex would be with them. They are shown as a burden on the male lead and his happy ending comes with marrying the hot thin woman.

Stuff like this also suggests that if a dude does find fat women sexy, he's either crazy or suffering brain damage as it can't process that a dude could legitimately find fat women to be attractive.

I just thought that since this was written by dudes in their boys club writing room, they would want to have dudes get into dude stuff and find happiness with sexy women. I imagine their humor to be juvenile at times and use women that aren't sexy for jokes and make them mean and nasty or say sex with them is gross and unpleasant.

Shallow Hal falls into this now that I'm looking at it, he's hypnotized into seeing a fat woman as sexy and beautiful. Showing that it wasn't his choice to view her as attractive. Plus he sees her as a thin, sexy supermodel and not how she really looks. The movie doesn't try to focus on features of the fat form and how they can be beautiful. Like no panning of her belly, breasts, arms and thighs or the joys of feeling her fat body.

Just the movie says that a man can't find a fat woman sexy of his own choice and even when she's viewed as beautiful it's only when she meets the idealized image of beauty not as she is. Just saying that we shouldn't find a fat woman beautiful as is, rather when she goes on a diet or loses weight can we view her as sexy/beautiful.

With Uwe Boll, I heard that he makes movies bad on purpose so when they flop, he gets money due to German tax loopholes. That's why he makes bad movies, so when they fail, he makes money but I heard he got put on a production company's blacklist due to this. I feel that he's a creator who makes bad stuff on purpose with no passion for art. With Ed Wood, while bad, he had a passion for movies and wanted to get them made.
