I actually kind of agree, but "suspension of disbelief" is kind of a weird way of putting it. It's not like it's fictional that they're fat, they actually are verifiably obese

TikTok is a goldmine for this kind of thing. I'm also a big fan of girls hiding their chub. I think "suspension of disbelief" speaks to enjoying the embarrassment of getting or being chubby, and showing it off kinda ruins that.
