Besides, they can just draw Toriel smaller if they want to do that sometimes, separate from the ongoing sequence. Or they can just definitively end the sequence with her big and do her smaller. It's the worst of both worlds to keep it going and then pull back, it's frustrating as hell that it happened twice already- especially since the second time was a stupid magic potion.
