He/She hasn't actually molested anyone and the larger chunk of inflation art out there is of under-age characters.

It's a simple matter of fact: inflation happens in cartoons and tales for kids => characters in those are usually kids or teenagers => all of us get exposed to inflation when we are kids or teenagers ourselves and we develop our first crushes at that age and they are often directed at fictional kid/teenage characters as well.

Everybody in this kink community had or has a crush on some fictional character that in their universe is under-age. Your holier-than-thou attitude rings false in here. It looks more like you're just trying to manipulate people into hating someone, because you have some personal beef with them.

I think part of the problem is that he didn't really frame it as something he regrets, or something cringe. He was giddy to tell people about this little fat girl that he and his friends followed around while no other adults were present, and clearly compared her to diamond tiara, an MLP character that he likes to sexualize, that's a bad look.

And it becomes worse when you take a closer look at some of his art, he draws sexualized versions of characters played by real child actresses, and characters clearly meant to be doing childish activities, like being girl scouts. The guy has preferences.

Correlation doesn't always mean causation. You (or even I) don't know the guy personally or how he feels about what he did back then. And the intention behind his use of characters aren't even because they're children per se, it's their archetypes. I'd draw Mabel Pines, but it's not for the fact that she is 13. I'd be uncomfortable depicting an actual minor. Discussing what he depicts in his art is a complete non-sequitor to the conversation.
