The pacing is all over the place with some parts that should be longer being to short and vice versa. Its filled with timeskips instead of showing panels of the characters actually getting bigger in real time while being fed.
The art and detail itself were also pretty minimal with the backgrounds being just one color (including there clothing) or a couch in the back. There are no creative scenarios/events on how to make the characters fatter and its just them sitting on a couch or bed and eating.
The characters are also pretty bland and uninteresting with them seeing each other getting bigger nothing but as cute instead of hot.

Just by seeing some of the pages you can see a difference in quality.
The coloring is better with actually showing a texture difference between skin and clothing.
The panels are more creative with panels showing different parts of the girls body getting bigger or some panels being covered by someones belly, different styles of text and actually showing the character getting bigger in real time.

Im sorry for being annoying, but I really think this needs to be addressed and SDC deserves to get some backlash for it.

Some artists who draw yuri just focus on sex while others like SDC have shifted from that to more romance/character relationships.
The problem now is with the shift SDC has done its something that a lot of the audience arent interested in and the main reason she even got popular in the first place was for her more sexual art/comics so some might even feel betrayed. Her art now feels more like shes drawing it for herself and wants to make her own fictional universe out of it instead of it just being a porn comic to share with others.
The fetish itself is also mostly for dudes who dont care much for story and character development and just want to see a hot fat girl get even fatter. There are girls who also just want to see that but thats rare with most of them just wanting to see a cute love story which im assuming is what SDC is doing.

Maybe a hot take: i think 50% of the people in this thread are looking for something that wont happen with this artist, this is just how Sdc writes her story's, a lot of people like them and some dont, but if you don't like that type of story then I dont see what the point is in complaining every time a new page is released, just seems like a waste of time, if you like the art just pop in once or twice a month to see if there's new art (or just keep an eye on patreon and when new art is released pop over here), there is some actual good criticism in this thread but 90% is basically "Not enough fat porn" or "no sex" or "too basic", same with the last thread

To be fair, she's an excellent artist, but it's clear her strength isn't writing, but to be fair even these recent stories are being shadowed by the much more succesful stuff she has made. Comparing 7/10 with 9/10 makes the prior look shitty, had you seen the superior work they've done

Anyone else on the patreon, because I'm extremely confused by the two "winners" of the polls. There were two polls, yet both winners were from one, and neither had more votes than Ann from Persona 5 on that poll. This comic isn't just a "slow burn" in WG Comics terms; it's already lasted almost as long as five issues of traditional comics, and it still feels like a prologue. This is unbearable, and even if it gets good, I don't know how reading 120 pages of nothing will make it worthwhile

You realize that this is exactly why she's started publishing 5-page comic sequences on the side, right? Best of both worlds. I think she has the best thought-out release schedule of the four horsemen (Kip, Belt, Pixiveo, SweetDreamCoffee I'm coining it right now) by far. you get The Odyssey with fun short stories on the side as opposed to just The Odyssey. It is significantly slower than the long comics she's run previously, but it's genuinely such a step up from all of them writing-wise that I consider it a good thing. Every other comic she's written (post-femboy) kinda just has cardboard cutout women eating themselves into obesity while feeding each other and whispering the corniest one-liners imaginable. There was progression, but there was never any sort of consistent plot pushing forward any interesting narrative, it was like keeping up with the Kardashians but we're at Liz's place where women just eat and become fat for 175 pages. Which, if that's your thing, more power to you! I liked it enough. This current comic is really fun though, I love just how stupidly in denial this main woman is as situation after situation crops up and she performs the most insane downplaying known to man, all while quite clearly entering chubby territory. It's pretty fucking hot, idk. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of stunts the insane redhead pulls to continue enabling the main girl. I think it will really pick up soon, they've met in-person now so I can't imagine the payoff being too far away.

I agree. I like what SweetDream's been cooking lately, and the plot of the main comic so far is honestly pretty engaging. Yes it's slow but the payoff always hits harder when the buildup is fleshed out, imo. The characters feel more dynamic than the last few big comics, SDC always excelled at character design but their personalities were generally so one dimensional. Getting shorter comics on the side is a great treat to keep impatience at bay.

Ive noticed some weird "proportion mistakes" SDC has done on his two current comics.
With the succubus one the girls hair highlights keep mixing between red and pink when in the first page they were pink, but now its sometimes red? Idk if this is intentional as a way to show the succubuses influence or SDC forgets what color her highlights are which is just lazy. Also her friends eyes feel too far apart and her face in general looks a bit creepy. In the 4th panel where shes taking a selfie there is a hand on the right side of her belly when there shouldnt be because both hands are occupied with one holding the phone and the other one behind her head.
For the doughnation one I feel like the proportions are also an issue. The red girls forehead feels way too big and her tits look a lot more saggy than they should be and i drew in blue what I think it would look normally. The saggy tits for example feel intentional as a way to cover more of her body for SDC to draw less. One of her sleeves is also longer than the other which i drew in purple. The furniture also looks she drew it in one minute by not even making the chair parallel with the table for example.

In my opinion no comic is worth edging years to just to get one final sequence no matter how good the final sequence is. People just want to read something for 5 min, finds a hot scene, beat off to it and forget about it until next week until theyre horny again.

I'm not saying for SDC to draw multiple cities and rooms, but at least make the world feel more alive and expressive.
To compare with Supersnacksized for example there pages usually have multiple colors in one page to show the characters emotions, they also draw different comic book effects like heart symbols or strains on clothing. They even change the shape of the text clouds where if the character is angry the cloud is more sharper or if they're demanding the cloud becomes inverted. This is the type of effort and creativity I wish SDC put into her work, but clearly they're too lazy to do it.

But it would be really nice for SDC to write a 20 page comic in a way where it is in first person view of a male character working at Liz's company interacting with each of the women doing whatever task a lean to fit male would do for a a woman of over 800lbs would need.

I mainly use these boards for SweetDream and Belt-Buster, and it's pretty funny to see sweetdream fans complain that she goes too fast, and should slow down for more detailed pages...

The purple effect is more for the reader. I think its showing us that feeder demon is using thier magic on the sign to fool her into thinking shes going to a gym when in reality shes going to a buffet. I can assume the next page will be her in an illusion of her working out when in reality shes glutting her face. Idk how it rationalizes how she got stuck though? Maybe in her head the gym door is jammed?

I'm still so sad we're not getting "Every last bite" soon. How Alex and Gina are starting to become truely immobile, just at the very edge of being bed bound. How Christina, Hana and Liz are starting to get too big to do anything whilst waddling ever so slowly more often. But instead we have a comic with good art but slow development and a comic with a lot of issues from mistakes in the setting. At least the feeder maid short comic was pretty good though.

I don't get how braindead SDC has to be to not just do one comic series at a time. Every other artist I follow does just one series with an occasional sequence on the side as a way to take a break from the comic. its impossible to work on two series at the same time without one or the other suffering either in quality or writing and we can clearly see that and SDC knows that too, but for some reason still keeps doing it. Not only would doing just one series make it be released quicker, but also the artist would be 100% focused on it instead of 50/50.

Every other artist I follow does just one series with an occasional sequence on the side as a way to take a break from the comic. its impossible to work on two series at the same time without one or the other suffering either in quality or writing and we can clearly see that and SDC knows that too, but for some reason still keeps doing it. Not only would doing just one series make it be released quicker, but also the artist would be 100% focused on it instead of 50/50.

It just sounds like an empty promise to me. A lot of artists say things like that, but then end up thinking there the only ones who are right and if they dont like them they can find someone else.
