In my mind, the real person and their cartoon facade are divorced in the same way that an author and their characters are, so the step into reality is a curve ball for me. I also agree that for me it's also easy to separate the irl person from the persona, but at the end of the day these personas wouldn't exist without the real life person. so even if you are able to separate the two, you are still jerking off to a character that's based on a real life person. However, I do have to agree that drawings or edits based on the real life person can be weird and uncanny for other people, but this whole fetish with these personas is weird in general lol.
